How it started
Hi! My name is Daphne and I’ve been a professional dog groomer since 2018. My journey began at 16, when I started my first grooming internship. After years of helping out in the dog grooming business my mentor pushed me to finally get certified myself so I could start my own career.
In 2018, I earned my dog grooming certification at TRIMSCHOOL NEDERLAND, solidifying my skills and passion for working with dogs.
I initially pursued veterinary school, but I soon realized that while I loved working with dogs, cats weren’t the right fit for me. This led me to focus my career exclusively on dog grooming—a rewarding path where I can give every pup the care and attention they deserve.
Grooming in paradise
In 2019, I made the life-changing decision to move to Bonaire, drawn by its stunning beauty and vibrant culture. At the time, I hadn’t planned to continue grooming—I saw it as a chance to explore new paths and embrace a fresh start.
But as much as I loved the island, I quickly realized that my passion for working with dogs was something I couldn’t leave behind. Grooming had become such an important part of who I am, and I missed the joy of helping dogs look and feel their best.
That realization led me to continue doing what I love most
Turning Challenges Into Opportunities
In 2020, during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, I decided to turn an unexpected challenge into an opportunity. With the world changing rapidly around me, I took the leap and started my own dog grooming business. It was a time of uncertainty, but my passion for grooming and my commitment to providing quality care for dogs drove me forward.
The pandemic reminded me of the importance of following your passion, and that’s exactly what I did. Starting my business allowed me to stay true to my love for dogs while adapting to the new reality of a changing world.
Advanced Grooming Techniques
I believe that growth never stops, and I’m committed to continually improving my skills. To stay at the forefront of the grooming industry, I regularly take courses from master groomers around the world. Whether it's learning new techniques, refining my craft, or staying updated on trends, I’m always striving to provide the best possible care for your furry friends.
For me, learning is part of the passion—there’s always something new to discover, and I’m excited to keep evolving as a groomer.
Grooming with a Twist: Exploring Creative Styles
I’m always looking for new ways to express my creativity and showcase my grooming skills. That’s why I’ve started doing creative grooming techniques on my own dogs. From fun colors to unique styles, I love pushing the boundaries and seeing just how far I can go to make my pups stand out.
Creative grooming not only allows me to bring a personal touch to my work but also fuels my passion for innovation and artistry in grooming. Every project is an opportunity to try something new and have fun with the process!
